What’s new in the Wild Cow barn? For starters…A Fuel!

For the past 3 ½ years, I’ve been running the Top Dragster class in NHRA’s Div 5, been pretty good at it (3rd place 2007, 5th place 2008 & picked up a Wally in Denver), but the heart wants to beat a bit faster, so I picked up an older Uyhara A/Fueler out of St. Louis last fall (from Robert Badgett, formally Rick Henklemen’s ride, & originally Brad / Shelly Anderson’s Top Fueler).

It needs a bit of work, some updating, but it will see some tuning track time this summer/fall, in preparation for a 5 or 6 race season in 2011. Click on ‘cars’ up top for some photos.

As for the TD class, I still have the Wild Cow rail (although it is up for sale…), so the plan is to go out to a few events this year, when the schedule allows, as I will be crewing w/ Doug Doucette and his A/Fuel ride, so as to learn more in preparation for my own upcoming nitro rocket.

Also still have ‘Blazin Bessie’, my ’70 Acadian SS that we completely rebuilt during the winter of 08/09, that seen some track time last year at Gimli to tune-in the new alcohol injected blown 468.
It went really well, running high 8’s, and my buddy Nick ran it in the Midwest Wild Bunch one day and kicked ass!…won the event!  It’s up for sale, so click on ‘cars’ and ‘cars for sale’ for info & pics.
